个人简介
林美英（1981-），女，汉族，动物学博士，副研究员。曾获中国昆虫学会第六届青年科学技术奖和2014年的周尧昆虫分类学奖二等奖。
2009年6月毕业于中国科学院动物研究所，研究方向为昆虫分类学，获动物学博士学位，其中2007-2008年在法国巴黎自然历史博物馆联合培养一年。2009-2021年在中国科学院动物研究所工作，主要从事天牛类甲虫的分类研究，其中2017-2018年在美国佛罗里达大学访问一年。于2021年12月被引进至绵阳师范学院。
完成国家自然科学基金青年项目1项，面上项目1项，北京市地方项目1项。现主持校级启动项目1项，北京市地方项目1项。累计发表文章共110篇，发表甲虫1新族、8新属、4新亚属、89新种/亚种，中国新纪录科3个，新纪录亚科1个，新纪录种108个，提出新异名51个，新组合24个，新地位22个。出版专著5部，如《中国甲虫名录第9卷》、《秦岭昆虫志第6卷》、《国家动物博物馆馆藏天牛模式标本图册》等，作为中国唯一代表参编2020年的《古北区鞘翅目名录第6卷》。
主要研究领域
主要研究方向为动物系统学、生物多样性，尤其是天牛类甲虫的分类研究和地方区系研究。当前的研究重点区域为北京市全区、南岭自然保护区（跨广东、广西、湖南和江西四省）、福建武夷山保护区以及四川全境。
